“Spuk im Hochhaus” tells the crazy adventure of the two innkeepers Jette and August Deibelschmidt. Out of greed, they robbed their guests 200 years ago and were then placed under an evil curse. Only seven good deeds can save her. While the ghosts in the original are up to mischief in a Berlin prefabricated building, the two end up in Großhennersdorf during the carnival.

The fools chose the scenery carefully: in the GKC version, the ghosts bring to life places that have now almost been forgotten. In addition to the old gas station, this also includes the long-closed outdoor swimming pool, the Berthelsdorfer Broilerstübel and the forest hut in Schönbrunn. The carnivalists were not alone, says Angelina Tittmann. “In the specially filmed film scenes, they were supported, for example, by the Berthelsdorf fire department brass band and numerous car-loving extras who took on a very special guest role with their old GDR cars.”
